Who we are
LastResorty is a fraud recovery company. We are not a law firm and we do not provide legal advice. Where a case needs legal action, it is carried out by independent licensed lawyers who act directly for the client under their own terms and professional rules.
Information on this site
The guides, articles and pages on this site provide general information about scams and recovery options in Canada. They are not legal, financial or tax advice, and they do not create a client relationship. Every case is different.
No guarantee of results
We never guarantee that money will be recovered, or how long recovery will take. Case results shown on this site are examples; past results do not guarantee future outcomes.
Our services and fees
Using the site, or submitting a case review request, does not make you a client. Our services begin only when you sign a written client agreement, which sets out the work we will do and our fees. If anything in that agreement differs from these terms, the client agreement applies.
We operate on a no win, no fee basis as described on our fees page. We never ask for payment upfront, and never in cryptocurrency or gift cards.
Your responsibilities
When you use the site, you agree to provide accurate information, and not to:
- submit another person’s information without their permission;
- send us recovery phrases, private keys or passwords;
- interfere with the site’s security or operation, or use automated tools to copy its content.
Impersonation
Fraudsters sometimes pretend to be recovery companies, including us. We only contact you from the phone number and email domain listed on our Verify us page. We are not responsible for losses caused by people impersonating us, but we will help you report them.
Intellectual property
The content, design, logo and trademarks on this site belong to LastResorty or its licensors. You may view and print pages for your personal, non-commercial use.
Links to other websites
We link to other websites, such as government and police resources. We are not responsible for their content or practices.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, LastResorty is not liable for any loss arising from use of, or reliance on, the general information on this site. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under consumer protection law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Consumers in Quebec and other provinces keep any rights they have under their local consumer protection laws.

We may update these terms. The date at the top of the page shows when they were last changed.
